My Dear Brothers
and Sisters,
Once again we have been blessed beyond measure.
God has brought us through another conference year successfully, and we give Him all the honor and glory. He continues to
look beyond our faults and see our needs.
As we embark upon a new year, there are many challenges facing us. Our economic condition is not looking very bright,
but I stand as a living witness that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly more than we can even imagine. There were some
who knew not what the future held, but God brought you through. Remember, there's a blessing on the other side of "through."
So as we enter into this
new phase of life, let us make a pact to work together to make not only the St. Louis-Columbia District the best it can be,
but the Missouri Conference also.
I look forward to working with Presiding Elder Benjamin Hollins, who I had the privilege of knowing in California.
Together we will work to make our districts proud.
My hope is that we will all join together and undergird each other. If one is hurting, then we all
are hurting, so be willing to share your trials, tribulations, and successes with all of us. One stick is easy to break, but
a bundle, not so easy.
Pastors,
remember what the Elder's job is. You are not in this alone. Keep me informed of what you are going through and I will be
there to help. But I can't help you if you keep it to yourself.
Be blessed and I thank you for all that you do to help the district look good. I know
we will continue to succeed with God being our helper. My prayer is for us to help brighten the Kingdom.
Yours In Christ
C. Jessel Strong
